Explore Asia: China – Hong Kong

A bustling and prosperous city, its’s no wonder why Hong Kong is such a popular tourist destination. With people everywhere, it is easily identifiable how popular Hong Kong can be. A home to many, Hong Kong is probably one of the busiest cities in the world, a city that you definitely do not want to be stuck in during rush hour. Without a trip to Hong Kong, your tour of Asia will not be truly finished. You’ll be staying in Hong Kong for a total of 9 days, but nonetheless, you will probably enjoy it to the best extent.

Week One

(Dates for Next Package: 18 Feburary 2010 to 24 Feburary 2010)

Although it may be hard to get to some of these places, we can always take the public monorail. Do not fret about this, even though it may be crowded and costs money, paying for the monorail has been factored into the bonus transportation expenditure of your budget.

Hong Kong Space Museum

The Hong Kong Space Museum will have you standing in awe. The museum itself houses a spectacular planetarium, which will leave you in astonishment at the wonders that modern technology can achieve in these days. There are many things to see in the space museum, and for all the people who appreciate technology, this is probably going to be one of the most interesting places you will visit.

Hong Kong Disneyland

Disneyland is something you definitely do not want to miss out on. Hong Kong is one of the few areas in the world with a Disneyland, and as all of you who have visited Disneyland before know, you can never get enough of it. With thrilling rides, and an amazing construction to appreciate, Disneyland will charm your heart to its very core.

Ocean Park Hong Kong

Another place filled with fun and enjoyment, the Ocean Park will make you feel extremely relaxed. As its title illustrates, Ocean Park is filled with many different forms of underwater wildlife, and ensures that you will enjoy all your time invested in it.

Hong Kong Museum of History

Another museum that we have to visit, the Hong Kong Museum of History will thoroughly educate you on the history of Hong Kong. With many sights to see in the museum, it will be very hard to get bored of the area quickly.

Avenue of Stars

As many of you may be familiar with the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, you’ll find an extreme resemblance in the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong. Since the Avenue of Stars honors many actors from Hong Kong, you’ll find many statues and items that you can identify with their respective actors.

Some other places we will probably visit are:

  • Victoria Peak
  • Wong Tai Sin Temple
  • Happy Valley

Week Two

(Days for Next Package: 25 Feburary 2010 to 27 Feburary 2010)

As is our customary tradition, during  the last few days of your trip, you are able to choose where you wish to visit in Hong Kong. Be careful though, if you visit certain places in Hong Kong and not the others, you’ll definitely regret it in the long run.

Some places you might want to research about are:

  • Kowloon Park
  • Hong Kong Harbour
  • Symphony of Lights

Checking Out and Returning

On the 59th day of the package, we will be checking out of the Park Hotel in Hong Kong, and catching our final flight, back to wherever you came from.
