The grand city of Beijing is a wondrous sight to behold. Beijing holds many of China’s most interesting attractions, such as the Forbidden City, the National Palace Museum, the Summer Palace, and the Temple of Heaven; but trust me, your stay in Beijing will not be limited to just those places. We have arranged for you to travel to various different places in Beijing on various different days, and have also set aside many days to allow you to choose destinations in Beijing that you may want to visit. Many sights in Beijing will just take away your breath, and we are prepared to experience wonders beyond your imagination.


Week One

(Dates for Next Package: 1 January 2010 to 7 January 2010)

In order to get used to the air in China, we will spend most of our time during this week by visiting the many tourist attractions that are available in Beijing. We will be visiting various attractions such as the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City and many more!

Summer Palace

The Summer Palace is an attraction with much to see. Many people treat this attraction as a wonderful place to be remembered the clear blue lake surrounding it and the mountain it is perched on is something you will not easily forget.

Temple of Heaven

The Temple of Heaven stands tall in the grand city of Beijing, it is a significant area for taoists, since it’s regarded as a taoist temple, and is an area with an incredible history behind it. A very popular attraction of Beijing, the Temple of Heaven is a beautiful sight to behold. Many people gather here to admire the exquisiteness of the Temple itself.

Mao’s Mausoleum

Mao Ze Dong was a very popular leader in China, he lead China to many victories, and several failures. His body now lies inside this building, lain out for everybody to see. We will be visiting this attraction to learn more about China’s great leader, and many of his achievements.

Forbidden City

The Forbidden City is a place with a very deep history to it. The Forbidden City is one of the most popular attractions in Beijing, this not being very surprising because of the mystery that the Forbidden City emits. The Forbidden City was a closed area for emperors and people high in the hierachy of Ancient China. Workers for these people were of course, also allowed in this area.

Tian An Men Square

The Tian An Men massacre is a historical event that many will remember for a long time. Still in the heart of Beijing, Tian An Men Square is a very interesting place that we will stop by on our trip.

National Palace Museum

To learn more about the history of China, a visit to the National Palace Museum absolutely necessary! The National Palace Museum is a treasure chest of the recollections and remnants of historical events in China.

Great Wall of China (Beijing)

The Great Wall of China is one of the old seven wonders of the world, the Great Wall is a sight that will take all your breath away. Stretching for miles and miles over China, the Great Wall shows the significance of Ancient China.

Other places we will probably visit are:

  • Yinshan Pagoda Temples
  • Ming Tombs
  • Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum

Week Two

(Dates for Next Package: 8 January 2010 to 14 January 2010)

We will be allowing mostly free choice in the places that you wish to visit. Our tour guides can recommend several places, but you will be allowed to pick the places you go to. You can also choose alternatives like visiting the more local areas, or choosing to go shopping, but all extra expenses will be at your own expense.

  • Longqing Park
  • Beihai Park
  • Lama Temple
  • Hutongs

Checking Out

On the 15th day of the package, we will be checking out of the Holiday Inn Central Plaza in Beijing, and catching our overnight train to Guangzhou, China.
