As the classic image of a Southeast Asian beach resort, it is Ecolux’s duty to make a stopover here. Not to worry, though, as we have you lodged at the luxury Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa. With its facilities themselves enough to mandate your 4-5 days worth of attention, this resort is not to be underestimated. Located on the beach, Ecolux will have you covered with every maritime activity out there. As an environmentally sustainable travel agency, your tour of Phuket will be completed mostly on bicycle – a wonderful experience which allows you to truly see the islands for what they are worth.

Day 1: Arrival

If you haven’t already been drawn in by the view on approach into Phuket’s airport, the somewhat long but worthwhile 40-minute drive to the resort will (approx. US$12). Once you’re settled in your hotel room, take the opportunity to relax and recuperate if you wish.

Whenever you’re ready, simple borrow one of Ecolux’s specially arranged bicycles free of charge and ride the 12km journey to Phuket FantaSea. Here, feel free to browse around the park and join the pre-show dinner at 6pm. Then, you’re in for the time of your life as you witness Thai culture showcased at its best – the Phuket FantaSea Show. This will certainly blow you away for your first evening in Phuket.

Day 2: Beach Exploration

Take a day to explore the many glorious beaches of Phuket Province. Take one of our free mountain bikes and see the beaches of Patong, Kata, Karon, and Kamala (home of the FantaSea park and show visited the day before); enjoy the sights in a sustainable manner. Stop by a restaurant on any of the four beaches for delicious local fare. This tour should take about a day to complete. Bring your swimming costume in case you get the urge to swim!

Day 3: Sights, Culture, & Nightlife

Ride a local or tourist bus to the town of Phuket for the 3rd day and experience the true culture and nightlife the province and city of 60,000 offers. Although it is too big to roam about on foot, plenty of fuel/electricity-efficient tuk tuks are available for hire on the streets to take you between malls, museums, restaurants, and bars. This day is to be designed by yourself – feel free to consult the concierge before leaving for the best places that fit your interests.

Don’t forget to check out a now world-famous Muay Thai match while you’re in town. These fascinating matches can be witnessed ring-side or in the stadium; tickets go for between 1000 and 2000 baht, or US$30-60. The somewhat steep price is worth the experience. (Note: Muay Thai tickets not included in package price)

Day 4: Diving Galore

Perhaps best known for its pristine beaches and beautiful coral reef, what better way to see through Phuket, Thailand than to go underwater scuba diving and take a look yourself? Day 5: Departure

A late evening/nighttime departure to the final stop, Kuala Lumpur, will allow you to completely relax and recuperate from the past week’s enchanting activities using the state-of-the-art facilities provided by the Hilton resort. Enjoy one last dinner at the hotel, then set off for the airport to your ultimate destination.
