Arriving at the hotel just before midnight Saturday night, we invite you to relax and sleep in for Sunday morning. When you get up, through the help of the Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel, Ecolux will have you covered for the day.
Day 1: Arrival
- Arrive at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK)
- Taxi ride (approx. 45 minutes) to the hotel: about US$15

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
Start your journey on a light note with the thought-inducing history at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The home of all things Ho Chi Minh, the Mausoleum holds 5 floors of intriguing history related to the Communist leader, opening on September 2nd, 1990 – the 100th birthday of the Vietnamese president. Explore the fascinating collection of information and artifacts available from the top down, starting with the giant gold lotus flower.
Walking Tour of Hanoi
See the marvels of Hanoi in the afternoon – how better than to go by foot? Walk a loop around Hoan Kiem Lake – pass the Opera House, Water Puppets, St Joseph’s Cathedral, the traditional markets, and more. After – or during – the walk, check out the delectable traditional Vietnamese food on offer.

Day 3: Halong Bay Exploration
Spend the day on a private tour of Halong Bay, a majestic place which some travelers even visit Vietnam exclusively to see. Undertake a new adventure! Choose to kayak around the bay, or ride one of the world-famous junks and enjoy the interesting commentary from the optional, free tour guide. Finally, enjoy the delicious food on offer for lunch, and if you choose, dinner before heading back to Hanoi.
Day 4: Departure to Bangkok
- Relax at the Hilton or do some last-minute sightseeing for the morning
- Check out and catch a taxi to the airport at approximately 9:00-9:30 (about 45 minutes, US$15)
